My Journey To Cali begins today

So,

I made a big step in my life and moved to California. Finally, I can have the things around me that inspire me to write music, and create movies. Its a pretty big day for me right now.

My apt is pretty badass, and so far all of the room mates I've met are pretty cool. I plan on taking out everything around me that is a distraction so that I can complete the things I want out here. I simplified my living, and my belongings to keep my mind where it needs to be.

Now after being here, I realized that I can't sit here and put out mediocre music. I need to put my all and my best music out first since this is a new place with new people. I will NOT be recording while I am here. I will only write. I want to become the best version of myself in all ways possible.

Damn it, Im sick. All music is being put on hold. Because... I feel like shit right now.

Seriously Craziest weekend, even without alcohol.

Why was it crazy you may ask? Well, my entire mom's side of the family came over this weekend, and I forgot that included about 60+ people and like 20 children. Anyways, not much got done, but I wanted to tell you that, I pretty much slept like a ROCK last night.

Meteor Showers

Ok so today i taught Zachary guitar, and then afterwards we played rock-band and pool. I set up my studio in a better way, and then went to wild wings for "2 for tuesday"... uhhh YUM.

Girls are too flirty sometimes.

So tonight i sat outside late and watched the meteor shower, and i saw SIX meteors! Tomorrow night is supposed to be like the main night to see it, and the twins are coming over to watch it with me and jared. They're fun.

So much album progress today, wow.

So today I finished two complete songs, and then I wrote the chorus to another song :-)

I also got a lot done on my facebook artist page too. So, I am really glad I got stuff done today. I have 17 more days until I move to cali and I seriously can't wait!

On a side note, my parents and my uncle both chewed me out today on making better choices, mainly because I got stabbed roughly 10 days ago due to poor choices :-/ but i deserve getting some tough love i guess.

Anyways, I really want some more tattoos, and audio gear. I think Im addicted to both.

Interesting Day

I KNEW today would be a lot more interesting than yesterday. So i pretty much went to church, and half the people there barely recognized me. I said bye to a lot of people, and I also wish there were a few other people I could have told bye.

After I left, my brother's car broke down like 7 times while in my neighborhood. I had to get out and re connect the battery like 4 times. Cool.

Anyways I worked a little on music today, made some lyrical and vibe progress. My family came over for dinner and that was fun! Got to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins. Someone was supposed to come over today and hear a song I wrote, but they kind of blew me off. Jerk.

But aside from all of that, I talked to someone very special today :-)

Today is ordinary

I dont have much to say but I do know that there was a huge disappointment when it looked liked two fighters rigged a UFC match. Anyways, today all i did was do laundry and then messed around on pro tools 8 and installed logic 8. My tattoo hurts, lame. I have an eventful day tomorrow and so i'll blog that, and it will be more interesting. After my brother and I got back from hooters tonight, a sudden blast of depression hit me for no apparent reason at all. I wish I could figure out what in my life causes it. But then again... if it did, I probably wouldn't be writing songs either, huh? I'm pretty sure I know what the deal is, I just don't like admitting my own weaknesses. I think perhaps I want too much in life and that since I expect those things to happen even though I keep trying, that I may be crazy. My ambition is bitter/sweet. Im going to church tomorrow morning. Im kind of wondering how people will react to my appearance change, and the fact that I haven't been in about two years. We shall see.

So many new events in one day.

So today many things happened.

For one... I got to eat mexican food twice. Yum. I also got my new studio gear in today. Mbox 2 micro and amplitube fender. This is seriously going to help me develop my sound, big time. It sounds great and I love my setup. My music took new heights just by two programs. Also I plan on getting more.

Either I have no idea what genre I play, or I just created a new one...

ANOTHER cool thing, is that I got a brand new tattoo! I have my entire setup on my body thought out. I will end up with a lot of cool tattoos :-P

This is the start of a new blog!

So guys I decided to get a late start on this blogging thing, but i feel like it would definitely help out people follow me on my music process and experiences. I am currently working on a double album, one of which is straight acoustic. The other is going to be the whole shabang. Luscious instrumentation, and beautiful arrangements like no other. I will keep you update always and also give you some stories that happened to me throughout my college experience as I attend The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. I am originally from Texas but I feel like this would be a good step for me musically. There I will be studying film, which will give me great opportunities from my music producer experiences. Please read up, I am going to try and post as much as possible.

Tonight I am going over all of my songs and organizing them into what I can. Then figuring out what parts I have to finish and what lyrics I still have to write.
