Help me produce my first album!
The Big Move
So I moved to Los Angeles. I got settled in, and started going to Musicians Institute. I can tell you now, its the best thing I have ever done in my life, yet probably the most difficult. I get to be with my amazing girlfriend all the time. My dog and I have fun. The thing is, there is so much work going on in my life with music that I can bearly do anything anymore. The good thing about it is, I am playing guitar like 4 hours a day. Crazy right?
So after a couple months, I realized how Hollywood actually works. I am going to start this blog by making it a day to day rant of what I feel about the music industry and my experience in music while being here.
I recently played a show at the viper room, you have heard of it right? Not what you may think. This venue sucks. Downstairs in the acoustic lounge is as big as my studio apartment. Upstairs isn't too impressive. I know there is hype, but I fear many people get aids here. Ok not really, but its pretty underground. Good for the right bands.
After playing this show with another guitarist, I realized how much I love producing music at home than I do playing live.

Awesome Band and Website update.
So I am currently managing the band, Jody Seabody and the Whirls. They are a band based out of Houston, TX. Bryce, Matt, Clint, and Dave are some of the most talented musicians and songwriters I know. I am going to be doing a lot to get them shows this Summer for a California tour and get them signed to a good label. I now attend Musicians Institute for guitar, and minoring in music business. It has only been about 3 weeks, and I have improved so much already. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to be in the music industry. Hopefully I can find the right group of guys to jam with and form a band.
I am beginning the process of adding a lot of content to my website, rockmystrings.com and it is looking promising. I have 3 different main sections planned out. There will be a beginner, intermediate, and advanced set of lessons complete with video, tabs, and other tools to help guitarists of all levels get better. I will also be adding extra things like a music business course, guitar effects mini course, and gear reviews. I plan on making all of this free for the public and generating revenue from ads and other things like sponsorships on reviews and things of that nature.
My main goal as a human in the music industry is to start a revolution in how things operate, and give the power back to the musicians who make the music we all love. More on that to come later.
Also, this weekend I get to see my brother in SF and I am super stoked!

New direction on blogging
Ok... so I have not written much in a while. This blog has taken new direction. From now on I will only be talking about the music industry. All of the hatred associated with big artists, how people are sick of how things are, how things work, and what can be done to fix this.
