The Big Move

So I moved to Los Angeles. I got settled in, and started going to Musicians Institute. I can tell you now, its the best thing I have ever done in my life, yet probably the most difficult. I get to be with my amazing girlfriend all the time. My dog and I have fun. The thing is, there is so much work going on in my life with music that I can bearly do anything anymore. The good thing about it is, I am playing guitar like 4 hours a day. Crazy right?

So after a couple months, I realized how Hollywood actually works. I am going to start this blog by making it a day to day rant of what I feel about the music industry and my experience in music while being here.

I recently played a show at the viper room, you have heard of it right? Not what you may think. This venue sucks. Downstairs in the acoustic lounge is as big as my studio apartment. Upstairs isn't too impressive. I know there is hype, but I fear many people get aids here. Ok not really, but its pretty underground. Good for the right bands.

After playing this show with another guitarist, I realized how much I love producing music at home than I do playing live.
